Sector Analysis / Foreign Firms in China Section |
Letter from Editors: We made it with your Help...A great thank you from the bottom of our hearts...
Dear Readers,
We are happy you decide to join CHINA INSIGHTS TODAY in this challeging project and we would like to thank you for your interest and support. Analyzing publications about China, we realised of a critical gap in publications related to Business and Management in China: on the one hand, most of magazines only offer articles and news about business, technology and innovation; on the other hand, the few existing academic journals on China are limited to very specific topics and the content of papers is not easily understandable by all readers, many times requiring a good prior knowledge of the topic. Additionally there is an increasing interest from EU academics, companies, governments, universities, institutions and other organizations to develop contacts and collaborations with China and viceversa. We thought that offering a meeting point for Academics, Companies, Governments, Universities and other Institutions from European Union and China would be an interesting idea to develop collaboration opportunities at academic, business and institutional level respectively as well as broading our knowledge and insights about our cultures. Also widening the range of topics to include chinese language, corporate social responsability, enviromental issues, finance, government initiatives, information technologies, logistics, marketing, medicine, tourism, science, nanotechnology, culture and other key issues would be value adding.Having this in mind, and with the valuable support of colleagues and institutions from Mainland China, Hong Kong (SAR), Macao (SAR), Taiwan province and EU, we proposed CHINA INSIGHTS TODAY PUBLISHING to develop an innovative magazine, offering Interviews with key people in China world, Articles (written by leading academics, businessmen and people involved in EU-China business cooperation), the Red Gate Corner (a matching point for academic, companies and institutions from China and EU) News Briefs, China Business Directory, Events and more sections. China Insights Today has an Advisory Board formed by an international network of experts who have agreed to give meaningful advice on a regular basis in many different areas: business, culture, information technologies, international collaboration, medicine, science, technology, tourism and other topics for China. China Insights Today will launch soon the Supplements "China Insights Today on Tourism", "China Insights Today on Hotels & Spas", "China Insights Today in Fashion" and "China Insights Today on Casinos"covering Mainland China, Hong Kong (SAR), Macao (SAR) and Taiwan province. Additionally we will also launch a new series of three Supplements on collaborations with China: "China Insights Today on China-EU", "China Insights Today on China-Arab" and "China Insights Today on China- Latin America". Finally, we would like to invite you to share with us your CHINA INSIGHTS TODAY. We will be delighted to hear from you, your comments about the magazine and supplements and suggestions.
Thank you
Patricia Ordonez de Pablos and
Miltiadis D. Lytras, Editors
